For electronics, a count is not enough. With serial tracking every unit is recorded when you buy it and sold one by one, so you can answer "which customer bought this IMEI?" and "is it still in warranty?" without digging through old bills.
What you can do
Receive by serial number
Paste or scan the serial numbers on a purchase. Duplicates are caught, and the quantity is simply the number of serials.
Scan to sell
Scan the serial at the counter, or pick it from the in-stock list. Only units that are actually in stock can be sold.
Warranty recorded automatically
Set a default warranty on the item. Each sale records the customer, the date and when the warranty ends.
Find any serial
Search a serial number to see the purchase, the invoice, the customer and whether it is in warranty.
Also included
- Serial number and warranty date printed on the invoice
- Remove a line or cancel the invoice and the unit goes back into stock
- A purchase cannot be reversed once any of its serials has been sold
- Exact cost per unit is kept for each serial
Frequently asked questions
Can I use IMEI numbers?
Yes. A serial number can be any code, including IMEI numbers for phones.
What if I try to sell the same serial twice?
It is refused. Once a serial is sold it is no longer available until the sale is removed or cancelled.
Is the online store supported?
Not yet. Serial-numbered items are billed at the counter.
